Spinal Injuries Scotland provides a Link Scheme which is designed to put people together, whether it is someone with a spinal cord injury (SCI) or a relative of someone with an SCI. For those with an SCI we try to match up the following criteria – gender, level of injury, age and geographic location but where this is not possible but we try to match as close as we can. For relatives, we try to match similarities, such as parent, brother or sister.

The idea is that you are able to speak to people who have gone through a similar experience so you can have a chat about how you dealt with it and managed to get through it.
Although the scheme has been operating for a number of years, we are now looking to expand this service and are currently looking for people to add to our list of those willing to speak to others.

Do you have an SCI or are you the relative of someone with an SCI and think you would be able to listen to another person going through the similar? If this is the case we would like to hear from you, with the possibility of adding your name to our existing list.

If you would like more information on the Link Scheme or would like to put your name forward for consideration, please get in touch with us at [email protected] or contact our office on 0800 0132 305
