On 22nd May, Spinal Injuries Scotland (SIS) had the pleasure of attending the Arnold Clark Motability Event at the SEC in Glasgow. The bustling event provided an excellent opportunity for our members to explore a wide array of over 100 cars available on the mobility scheme. It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces from our SIS community eagerly trying out and selecting their new vehicles.

In addition to the extensive selection of cars, the event featured various exhibitors showcasing the latest adaptations and aids designed to make driving more accessible for everyone. A special treat was the Tunnock’s stall, offering delightful Scottish goodies to all attendees.

Our stall, managed by dedicated volunteers Keira and Stephen alongside our Peer Support Officer Laura, was a hub of activity. We were thrilled to welcome new members who joined us, seeking information, advice, and support. The engaging conversations and shared experiences underscored the importance of events like these in fostering a sense of community and support among our members.

The day was a resounding success, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who stopped by our stall. We look forward to participating in the Arnold Clark Motability Event again next year and continuing to support our members in their journey toward greater independence and mobility.
