Dumfries BBQ & Family Fun Day

We are delighted to announce the date of our annual Dumfries BBQ & Family Fun Day. 

Please join Dumfries & Galloway Wheelchair Athletics & Spinal Injuries Scotland on

19th August 2023 at the David Keswick Centre, Dumfries, DG1 1PX

We will have a range of fun activities including handcycles and wheelchair racing on the track for the whole family to enjoy.

   

Attendees will include:

CAPABILITY SCOTLAND:

Capability Scotland delivers exemplary care, support, and education for disabled children and adults across Scotland. They were founded in 1946 and have strived to be a major ally in supporting disabled people to have full equality of opportunity and participation as citizens of Scotland.

DUMFRIES WHEELCHAIR CURLING CLUB:

Dumfries wheelchair Curling Club is a new start up club connected with Dumfries Ice Bowl.

MAX WHEELCHAIRS:

Max Wheelchairs has over 20 years of experience providing 'made to measure sports' and everyday wheelchairs for a wide range of customers, with different challenges and disabilities. Gary will be on hand to talk you through and encourage you to take a spin on the track.

DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY BLOOD BIKES

Dumfries & Galloway Blood Bikes is a charitable organisation set up by local volunteers to deliver essential blood and urgent medical supplies between NHS hospitals and healthcare sites in Dumfries and Galloway and beyond

FISHING FOR THE DISABLED

Michael Fearns will be on hand to talk about accessible fishing

HOLLISTER

Independent, employee-owned company that develops, manufactures, and markets healthcare products will be on hand to answer questions and talk through the latest in Ostomy Care.
