As long as you have an open mind to try out the various sports on offer at Castle Semple, we should have something that will suit anybody with a spinal cord injury (SCI) and hopefully get you hooked enough to want to carry on that sport into the future.

Hand cycles: we have a wide range of hand cycles in various styles along with equipment to help people access them and enjoy out on the road, cycle path or round a track.

Sailing boats: that don’t capsize are available with assorted extra equipment that can be added if required to help.

Guests with spinal injuries get the opportunity to try sailing

Canoes and kayaks: that can be stabilised and fitted with adjustable seating along with hand grips for the paddles.

Power boats: fully accessible by ramp making it easy for any wheelchair to get on and off the boat.

Other facilities at Castle Semple include:

  • Changing places with fully accessible toilet and changing room with ceiling hoist
  • Two pontoons with hoisting facilities to aid people getting in and out of boats
  • Freestanding outdoor hoist for cycling and other activities
  • Level entry to café and centre.

This will be the 8th year this event has taken place, giving wheelchair users across Scotland a break from everyday reality and the ability to take part in adventure sports, something they may have felt was not possible before the day.

Make sure to book your ticket below. Tickets for this event are free for members and their families but we need to know rough figures for the day.
