General Duties and Responsibilities


  • General Admin Work – mail, filing, phones, minute taking, monitoring emails
  • Knowledge of excel is essential
  • Working with different software packages
  • Taking payments using SAGE, Paypal and Stripe
  • Managing office calendars
  • Correspondence with directors, members
  • Dealing with donations – thank you letters, gift aid applications etc
  • Invoicing
  • Log payments
  • Researching
  • Dealing with Incoming Enquiries
  • Planning & Administration of Events
  • Dealing with Suppliers (order chasing, researching comparisons etc)
  • Merchandise
  • Arrange compilation, printing & distribution of charity magazine
  • Candidate will have knowledge of updating websites (not essential)
  • Any other reasonable duties required in line with SIS’s objectives
  • Experience with CRM systems (not essential)

  • Establish and develop positive relationships with colleagues, using appropriate behaviour to promote trust and goodwill within the working group and within SIS as a whole

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience required
  • Actively ensure own professional development and maintaining a training and development plan
  • Attend appropriate training, as required
  • Lead by example whilst gaining respect and confidence of colleagues and service users
  • Always ensure to work within the four values – professionalism, integrity, compassion and respect
